I have been an artist for over 30 years showing my work in galleries, shows and in my home studio. Much of my work begins with a walk through Manitoba landscape, camera in hand, capturing the colours, textures, and light that catch my attention.

Rather than painting exactly what I see, I’m interested in capturing how a place feels. Working primarily in acrylics and occasionally watercolours my first love, I build layers of colour, textures
and brushstrokes to creative contemporary abstract and semi- abstract paintings that reflect the movement, energy and quiet beauty of nature.

Gardening and painting are closely connected in my life. Both require patience, and observation. Always living on the prairies has taught me to appreciate every season and to find beauty in the changing landscape throughout the year.

When I’m not in my studio, I teach art on cruise ships, a role that allows me to travel the world while sharing creativity with others. I find inspiration in the colours, textures, and atmosphere of
each place I visit.
