Our Mission

WHO WE ARE

Harte Trail Studio Tour is a volunteer collective made up of artists and artisans that reside near the Harte Trail in the areas of Charleswood, Headingley and Tuxedo in Winnipeg, MB.

WHAT WE DO

Harte Trail Studio Tour produces an annual Fall art event that is offered to the public and creates an opportunity to meet local artists in their creative space.  We welcome you into our homes and studios where we can share about our processes, inspiration, & current work. This Art Tour provides a rare opportunity to experience  and purchase contemporary art, pottery, fabric & jewelry art outside a formal gallery setting.  We provide opportunities for artists to create, exhibit, and discuss their work and connect to an engaged and diverse audience. We strive to make art a part of everyday life.

HISTORY

The Harte Trail, namesake of the Studio Tour,  is a 6.5 km section of the Great Trail that runs along the south side of Charleswood on a former rail bed . Friends of the Harte Trail, a volunteer group, now maintain this active walking, running and cycling trail.

Originating in 2018 – we held Live Studio Tours in 2018 and 2019.  In 2020 we held our first virtual tour as the world faced Covid-19 restrictions. We were able to hold live tours in 2021 and 2022 with both artists and guests following Covid health protocol.  We look forward to being able to welcome you in person once again this coming September.

In the meantime - our artists and artisans are busy creating fabulous new  pieces and we will continue to showcase them on Facebook and Instagram.    Make sure you follow us on Social Media and subscribe to our Newsletter to receive up-to-date information.
