Revealing the incredible detail and complexity of trees is inspiring every time I print. I seek to demonstrate an appreciation for the life of trees and the intricate beauty of nature that lies around us. Trees provide so much and so often have a story to tell; I love to give a second life to these humble and incredible members of the planet.

All the wood I use is salvaged; and often a story along with it. My tree ring prints are prepared and printed by hand in small batches. The imperfection and variation that comes along with this type of art is something I love about printmaking.

I am a former art educator and now I work in the school system as a substitute or guest artist while running my small art business. I also love to make linocut prints of maps; I have a growing collection of Manitoba small towns. If I’m not making nature or map art I gravitate to abstract play with shapes and lines; this year it has taken the form of some fun watercolour pieces.
